Regarded by so many as the pioneer of the Actor-Musician musical, John Doyle is so much more. His productions  range from Opera, to Shakespeare, to Broadway with Tonys and beyond. A creative, theatrical innovator this chat takes us from The Desert Song to The Color Purple with a huge chunk of Stephen Sondheim’s thrown in for good measure. Well you have to expect a few when he’s directed nearly every single Sondheim musical!
